These kind of issues are maintaining me motivated and tough me at the same time. I have already began to set targets for 2021 so I won't be stopping anytime soon!"

Ta Trecia Davis, 47, of Pickerington, is co-ambassador of Dark Girls Work! Columbus Chapter.  She's been running for five years and did four marathons and sixteen 1/2 marathons, including Columbus twice.

"Prior to the pandemic strike, I was bottom training for my big battle of the year (TCS) New York City Marathon. The shutdown and the pandemic came with lots of stress and anxieties. COVID-19 took the life span of my young nephew and my great friend's parents all within a few days apart. It absolutely was damaging and emotionally hard, understanding I could not be there for my enjoy ones. Therefore for days, I applied excuses for not running.  My coach encouraged me to get back to working to help handle strain and keep carefully the immune system in check.

Being fully a motivator, encourager, and person who looks to stimulate the others, I got back again to performing what I love to do. It began with 100 miles for a month that rapidly converted into performing a run streak. My 2020 objectives have transformed, it's about emergency while empowering the black community to become healthier. We know that virus is having a significant impact in my community. Running isn't canceled, or is our capacity to improve the running community.
